Hey everyone! My name is Naomi. I’m so happy you are here 🙂
Allow me to introduce myself! I am 23 years old, a recent college graduate, and someone who loves to discover truth, beauty and goodness in my everyday life (hence the subtitle to this blog ;). I am a voracious reader, with a particular love for historical fiction (preferably historical romance), but I also love a good suspense novel. Some of my favorite things in life are indie/folk music (though I will listen to anything with a good melody and meaningful lyrics), coffee (usually had with family and friends), long, country-road drives, making memories with the people I love, and cozy sweatshirts. Oh, and pens. I love pens. Bring on the pens.
I come from a fairly large family (I’m one of six kids), so something I value highly is family. Spending quality time with my parents and siblings, whether it be around the dinner table or playing mini golf, is something that always brings me joy and fills my bucket. I’m also a deep introvert though, so I am also content to spend some alone time reading or watching a show.
I also love to write, which is partly why I’m here. During high school, I loved to write stories. I usually had a couple stories in the making, and when I couldn’t write, I often imagined “scenes” for my book in my head. I studied English in college because of my combined passion for reading and writing, and since I graduated, the itch to begin writing again is ever-growing.Â
I am also passionately and wholly Catholic. It is my relationship with Jesus Christ, and my desire to follow His Word and teaching as authentically as I can, that grounds me, gives me purpose, and fills my life with joy. So I try to see and do every thing through the lens of pursuing holiness. Learning about my faith, and writing about it, is part of that.Â
So that’s me in a nutshell. If you hop on over to the “About this Blog” page, you’ll discover the reason behind why I started the blog, and my goals for it.Â
